Thank you for your
interest in a rescue English Springer Spaniel.
If you
are interested in finding out more about a
Springer Spaniel listed on this page, please
complete an
ADOPTION APPLICATION
(you
will be redirected to our National website)
and it will be forwarded to our regional
coordinator within a day or two. When the
coordinator receives your application, you
will receive an email with further
instructions on how to proceed with our
process. We will be able to consider all the
dogs we have in our care, including ones
that may not yet be listed on this page. By
submitting an application, you are not
committed nor guaranteed to adopting through
our program. It is merely the first step we
take in consideration of adoption. In
addition, we cannot allow anyone to
visit/meet with one of our dogs until an
adoption application has been submitted and
reviewed by the Coordinator.
All
adoptions in the "Rocky Mountain Region"
(Colorado, Nebraska, Utah and Wyoming) are
considered LOCAL and NOT interstate. We can
usually arrange some help with final transport.
We do normally request that you meet the dog you
are interested in before adoption can be
arranged.
Thank
you for considering a rescued dog! It isn't an
expeditious process, so we appreciate your
patience. We are a volunteer run organization,
and do it for the love of our dogs. Our goal is
to find a perfect forever home for each and
every one of them!

Please meet Abe, aka the
Babe! Abe is a sweet
handsome boy who has a
coat of fur as soft as
cotton. Abe was left at
the shelter by his
previous family just a
month after they
discovered he was blind.
Abe has PRA (Progressive
Retinal Atrophy) and is
completely blind. Abe
has probably been going
blind for a long time,
getting by on his
peripheral vision. When
that went, his owners
noticed he was blind.
When our volunteer went
to the shelter to get
him, he was waiting
calmly in his kennel,
but was so happy to be
out of the shelter!
He came into his new
foster home and found
his way around very
nicely. Abe is extremely
smart, as he learned to
use the dog door in no
time and the lay of the
house and yard in just a
few hours. Abe is
housetrained and sleeps
by his foster parent's
bed peacefully at night.
Abe is good with other
dogs and children,
although he he may be
too active for small
children. Abe did not
like the cats in his
first foster home, but
has shown no interest in
them at his current
foster digs. The amazing
thing about Abe is that
even though he is blind,
he can fetch a ball or
toy just by smell and
sound! He would love to
have someone play fetch
with him all day long!
Abe loves his Kong and
soft rubber bone.
It would be easier for
Abe to live in a home
that didn't have too
many stairs, but he can
learn things very well
with just a little
guidance. Abe knows his
name and will come right
away when he is called.
He likes to hike and go
for walks. He is a very
happy, active Springer
in spite of his loss of
vision. He great sense
of smell and hearing has
helped him compensated
for his vision loss.
We don't have a lot of
background information
about Abe except that he
is one of the sweetest
and most loving dogs we
have met. Abe's
blindness in not
treatable and will
require no future
followup. Because Abe
is so comfortable with
his blindness only
moderate adaptations are
required for him to fit
safely and smoothly into
a new home. If you feel
that Abe might fit in
well with your family,
please give us a call.

Hi! My name is
Freedom and I am about
the most stylish boy you
will ever meet. My
foster mom says I have a
beautiful coat and that
I am the best boy she
has ever groomed. I have
had quite the vagabond
life and am looking for
a Forever Home to call
my own. I am
housetrained, use a
doggie door, love to
ride in the car and be
with my people. I am
very happy to see you
when you get home and
will follow you
anywhere. I will sleep
at your feet or in your
lap if you let me. I
just want to be with
you. I sleep on the
floor by the bed at
night but would really
like to snuggle with you
if you would like. I am
good with other dogs and
am uninterested in the
cats at my foster home.
I love to run in the
barn yard with my foster
dad and I stay close
when we are outside.
I have had some
trouble with allergies
and ear infections in
the past. I was recently
allergy tested and found
to be allergic to beef,
corn, carrots and yeast.
I am now on a restricted
diet, but my mom says
it's no big deal and you
can buy it almost
anywhere. My vet thinks
my new diet will take
care of my ear problems.
I’d love to hear from
you,
Freedom

Princess and Honey
came into the shelter
together and appear to
be very bonded. As you
can see, they like to
sleep together and are
very happy to see the
other if one has gone
outside alone. We would
like to see these girls
go to a home together.
These girls are diamonds
in the rough and a
family that has time for
obedience training and
is home at least part
time would be ideal for
them.
Princess is a petite,
happy, affectionate girl
that is delighted to see
her people when they
come home. Though she is
young, she is quiet in
the house, sleeping on
her bed or playing with
a toy. Princess is a
little overweight and is
currently on a diet to
regain her girlish
figure. Princess is
housetrained, uses a
doggie door and is crate
trained. Both girls
sleep in a large kennel
together at night.
Princess is playful,
gets along well with
other dogs and is
uninterested in cats.
Children are an unknown.
Since she is still
learning the commands
Off and Down, Princess
may be too rambunctious
for very small children.
Honey has a beautiful
full tail that she
carries proudly. Honey
is an affectionate,
happy girl that loves
attention and belly
rubs. Honey is
housetrained, uses a
doggie door and as you
can see, loves her
crate. Like Princess,
she will benefit from
obedience training,
though she is learning
the commands Sit and
Off. As with Princess,
Honey is great with cats
and may be too bouncy
for very small children.
Princess and Honey would
like to be adopted
together. If you are
looking for two great
Springer girls – please

Trevor is a great
Springer boy who came
into rescue from a local
shelter. We cannot
believe someone did not
claim him from the
shelter, as Trevor is a
terrific dog.
Trevor is a little on
the thin side right now,
but that is easily
remedied with some good
food and love. A good
weight for Trevor will
be around fifty pounds.
He has good house
manners and is
housetrained. Trevor’s
leash skills need some
polishing and he rides
okay in the car, but he
can bark – both of these
will just need some time
and patience to help
Trevor improve. Trevor
is a smart boy who knows
Sit, Come and it appears
that he does know hand
signals. Trevor LOVES to
play fetch -- he even
brings the ball back and
drops it at your feet!
Trevor gets along with
his foster brothers and
sisters but would be
happy as an only dog,
too. Trevor is an
energetic Springer who
can settle down nicely
when inside.
Trevor loves people.
He is very friendly and
really likes to lean
into you for pets and
rubs. Trevor is a goofy,
loving Springer who
enjoys life, being with
his people, doing stuff
with you and of course
playing fetch! If Trevor
sounds like your kind of
family member, please
contact us to find out
more about him.

From Bernie's foster
mom: Gosh, are we having
fun with this boy!
Bernie is a great
example of a field dog.
He loves to be out in
the field and work,
work, work! Inside, he
wants to play ball and
is pretty persistent
about it. He will
cleverly put the ball in
places where you cannot
ignore it. He has
slipped it into the
dishwasher, the
refrigerator, and the
cabinets. I rolled over
in bed one morning to
find it in my face, with
a very happy-looking dog
staring at me, ready for
me to throw it.
Bernie is good with
dogs, people, and even
cats. Though he has a
ton of energy for play,
he settles down in the
house. He is at his
cutest when he is
drifting off to sleep,
back legs splayed out,
suckling his dog bed. He
loves his Kong and plays
with it when no one will
throw a ball for him. He
is invisible-fence
trained, will go into a
crate, is learning leash
manners, and knows basic
commands. He is excited
about riding in the car,
but he eventually
settles down for the
ride. He is just
discovering that he can
sit on his foster dad's
lap to watch some TV. He
does not get up on the
furniture or the bed
unless he's invited.
This field boy would
thrive with a job and an
active family. Life is
fun; let Bernie help you
remember that! Please
contact his foster home
to learn more about
Bernie.

No, you are not
seeing things. It's
Beau, again looking for
his perfect Forever
Home.
From Beau's foster
mom: Beau is one of our
all-time-favorite
fosters, and he has made
a point to prove it by
coming back to us a
couple of times! It
seems that we have not
found just the right
Forever Home for this
sweet, goofy boy. His
story is filled with
circumstances beyond his
control. He was found as
stray, living as best he
could in a rural area.
Once he was taken into
rescue, he quickly
adapted to the good life
and loved everyone that
he came in contact with.
He was adopted by a
great family who had
another young male dog
Beau's age. Once in his
new home, Beau and the
other fellow decided
that they were not going
to play nice, so Beau
came back to us.
At that point, we
discovered that he was
not quite the same dog
as when he left. He was
a bit crankier, so to
the vet we went. It was
discovered that he was
fighting ehrlichia, a
tick-borne disease.
Treatment was started
right away, but the
disease is a pretty mean
one, and he ended up
losing an eye to it.
After a year of
treatment and tests,
Beau was deemed ready
for adoption again. This
time he went to another
great home. He was loved
by his family and he
loved them, especially
the children. However,
around Christmas time he
decided to become a
"Sprinkler Spaniel,"
watering the Christmas
presents and other
objects around the home.
Again he came back. We
quickly discovered that
Beau had a urinary-tract
infection. We have
treated that, and he is
once again a dry dog. So
that's his story. He's a
very loving dog in need
of a very loving home.
Beau is
invisible-fence trained
and crate trained. He is
very good in the car. He
likes to have fun
outside, but he adores
your lap and company
inside. He snuggles with
the best of them. He
loves treats, bones,
people, and going for
rides in the car. He is
good with submissive
dogs. He is okay on a
leash, but he's better
with a harness. He knows
basic commands. He does
have a problem, if you
consider it to be a
problem, with jumping up
to greet you. He has so
much love to give and
happiness to share that
he just can't help it!
Beau is very special to
us, and he should also
be very special to the
family who adopts him.
Beau does not come with
a guarantee of
perfection; he only
comes with unconditional
love. If that is enough
for you, and if you can
return that love,
contact us.
Please read the
Adoption FAQ and get
an
Adoption Application
approved before
inquiring about Beau.

Good old Joe! Dogs
don't come much better
than him! He has a great
temperament, he rides
well in the car and even
stays in the back seat
without being told. He
is good with other dogs,
is very friendly, and
happy all the time. His
tail never seems to stop
wagging.
Joe was pulled from a
shelter where he had
come in as a stray. He
is very sweet and
mellow. He is not
hyperactive at all, but
is settling into the
good life at his foster
home.
He came out of the
shelter with an ear
infection, but his
foster family is taking
care of this issue for
Joe. This is a really
good thing, because Joe
loves to have his ears
scratched every now and
then.
Joe likes to go for
walks and doesn't pull
on the leash. He is
housetrained, has very
good house manners and
likes to be outside. Joe
is a tall, lanky dog and
a very distinguished
gentleman. He isn't very
needy but really loves
his people.
If you think Joe would
be just the right dog
for you, please call us
soon. He is very special
and not just your
“regular” Joe!

Little Lucy, or Lucy
Lue as she is formally
known, is a gorgeous,
petite, AKC bench-bred
Springer. She spent a
lot of time living in a
garage before she came
into rescue. She has an
extremely affectionate
temperament. She is very
Velcro and wants to be
as close to you as
possible all the time.
Lucy loves to play with
her toys and has a lot
of energy, as you would
expect from a young
Springer! She is very
smart and shows a great
interest in birds. She
likes to chase the birds
around the yard whenever
they land in the trees.
She could be a great
hunting dog if someone
would take the time to
train her, as she shows
no fear of loud noises
and has tireless energy.
Lucy is comfortable in a
crate, especially if
given a toy or rawhide
bone to chew on and a
treat.
Lucy has so much
potential, but she will
need help from her
Forever Home with a few
of her struggles. She is
extremely unsettled when
left alone for long
periods of time.
Therefore, Lucy would do
best in a family where
she doesn't have to be
alone very much. She is
very active and craves
attention, so it is
sometimes difficult for
her to relax.
However, because Lucy is
such a loving, sweet
dog, it shouldn't be
very difficult to help
her become the best
Springer she can be! She
enjoys being with other
dogs, but can take a
little time to warm up
to them. She is somewhat
protective of her toys
and would like to be an
alpha dog in her home.
Lucy would do best in a
Forever Home where she
can live indoors with
her family, yet have a
big yard to play in. She
would also like someone
who is home most of the
time to take her on long
walks daily or play at
the dog park where she
can expend some of her
fun and boundless
energy!
If you would love to
meet Lucy or find out
more about her, please

This is Cory! He is a
fun, happy, active,
loving Springer! His
foster home likes to
call him “Mr. Waggles”
because he wags his
little stub of a tail so
hard that it makes his
whole body wiggle. Cory
is definitely full of
exuberance and has lot
of energy.
Cory especially loves
his belly rubs whenever
he can get them. He is
working on his
housetraining, but
sleeps just fine in his
crate. His favorite
activity is to run and
play all day long. He is
just like the energizer
bunny that keeps going
and going, but he
doesn't need batteries!
Cory is very friendly
and playful with people
and other dogs. He
hasn't bothered the cats
at his foster home. Cory
could use some training
with his basic manners,
as he still loves to
jump up to greet
everyone and also likes
to counter surf.
However, he is a young
dog and should be a
quick learner.
Cory is extremely
affectionate, but he may
have a little too much
energy for very young
children right now. He
does know the command to
Sit, and he was very
good when his foster mom
put him on the grooming
table to be brushed and
have his feet and nails
trimmed. He didn't even
mind having the burs and
mats brushed out of his
ears.
If you would like to get
to know Cory better,
please call us to find

happy-go-lucky Springer!

This is our wonderful
Rudy! He came from a
shelter just after
Christmas and has some
pink on his nose, so his
foster family named him
after Rudolph the
Reindeer. Rudy is also
known as our infinity
dog. His age is somewhat
of a mystery. He could
be anywhere from three
to nine years old, but
no one knows for sure
because he has the
energy of a two year
old!
Rudy is now housetrained
and can use the doggy
door like a champ. He
has learned to Sit, and
is starting to learn the
word No. Rudy goes into
his kennel pretty well,
as all you have to do is
throw in a treat or a
toy and he'll follow
right behind it into the
kennel.
He also loves to chase
the ball and play tug of
war. Rudy even has his
own version of the game
of fetch, if you don't
have time to play with
him. He will drop the
ball in your lap, let it
fall to the ground, and
then fetch it and drop
it back into your lap to
start the game all over
again. He is a very
creative dog!
Rudy is learning to walk
on a leash, or a short
lead. He rides well in
the car, but prefers to
sit in the driver's lap
and help drive, so he
still needs some
training in that area.
He is a very Velcro dog
and follows his foster
mom everywhere. Rudy is
very loving and always
ready to play. Such a
fun boy!
He could definitely use
more training, but he
responds very well to
positive reinforcement
and he loves praise.
Rudy is curious about
the resident cat, and
will chase her if he
gets the opportunity.
This cat is pretty
smart, too, and prefers
to hide from Rudy
instead of playing.
Rudy's foster mom feels
that he would do better
in a home without
children and with an
active outdoor family.
He is your typical
loving Springer that can
never get or give enough
love. If you think Rudy
is a good match for you,
please call us soon!
Please read the
Adoption FAQ and get

PETE
Lakewood, CO

How about going for a
walk with me?

 |
| ESRA#: |
2010-130CO |
| Status:
|
Available |
| |
|
| Age: |
5 years |
| Gender: |
Male |
| Color: |
Liver &
White |
| Weight: |
50 lbs |
| Variety: |
Field |
Hi! Let us introduce
Pete to you.
Pete came to ESRA
because his owner’s new
career left little time
for Pete. Knowing he
spent so much time alone
was as hard to watch as
was the decision to say
goodbye. Since Pete has
been a one-owner dog, we
thought he would have
separation issues. He
has made himself right
at home with us from day
one.
Pete is a moderately
active boy. He has good
manners; he rides well
in the car, is crate
trained, knows Sit,
Stay, Down, No, and
Come. Pete does not
counter surf, dig, or
chew. Pete has spent a
lot of time on walks and
hiking. He gets a lot of
attention on the hiking
trails because he is
usually carrying a toy
in his mouth. Pete loves
his toys! He is
microchipped. He is
housetrained. He will
let you know he has to
go to out by going to
the door, and if that
doesn’t work he will
come up to you and
sweetly whine.
Pete adores people. He
catches on to new things
very quickly and you'll
love his cute
personality. When he
wants something, he
first looks at you with
his big brown eyes. If
that isn't getting your
attention, he'll put a
paw on your arm - still
not working, he'll
whine, next level is
barking. If his water
bowl is empty, he knocks
it around with his paw.
We have been told Pete
is a snuggler, and
although he is a bed
hog, it really is cute
when he puts his face
right on your chest and
falls asleep. He
respects that we say No
about getting on our bed
and goes to his own bed.
He'll come and sit next
to you and just lean
against you like a
little child. Pete can
play “dead” and catch a
treat that's balanced on
his nose.
Pete will make a good
guard dog as he will
alert you when people
are outside. He
appropriately barks when
the doorbell rings if
someone new comes to the
house or he hears cars
outside. However, he
doesn’t growl, jump up
on or act wearily of
visitors.
Pete is a big Springer,
but his moderate energy
level combined with his
sweetness and
intelligence make him
suitable for a family
with any aged children.
He will do fine with or
without other dogs. Pete
would prefer not to
share his food or toys
with other dogs. Pete
has never been around
cats before, so we do
not know what he would
think of them. Since he
loves the company of
people, a home with
someone around most of
the time would be best
for Pete.
If you would like to
share your life with a
Springer that loves you
so much (as he'll be
happiest boy sharing
whatever you like to
do), please come visit
Pete.
Please note that an
approved adoption
application is the first
step in a more thorough
interview process that
is designed to match
each dog to exactly the
right family, and that
the final decision rests
with the dog's case
manager.

Adoption FAQ and get

Hello. My name is
Rufus. I’m a fun-loving
guy, but I take my
doggie job seriously.
I’m a loyal protector of
my family and head of
security at my foster
home. I make sure the
door is locked after my
foster mom gets home
from work. Except I have
to remember that she’s
supposed to be on the
inside and not the
outside! Mom went out to
the car to bring in
groceries and when she
came back, I had jumped
up and turned the
dead-bolt on the front
door. All the Springers
were safe and sound
inside, but poor mom was
locked out of the house.
Thankfully she had a
spare key to let herself
back in!
I also take care of mom
during the night by
sleeping by her side on
the bed. If she has a
nightmare, she can roll
over and hug me for
comfort. I also cuddle
up with her on the couch
so she’s nice and warm
on cold nights and we
watch television shows
together. Animal Planet
is my favorite! I like
to play ball and bounce
a Kong toy around to
keep fit, since you
never know when you’re
going to have to spring
into action. I really
love pets and belly rubs
and my foster mom says
that I am a good boy.
She says it a lot so it
must be true.
I’m looking for a family
who will play with me
and give me lots of love
and attention. I’m good
with other dogs my size
but wouldn’t mind being
the only one. If you
need a dependable,
smart, yet funny
companion, then I’m
you’re guy!
Give me a call,
Rufus

Meet Emmett. He is
housetrained and uses
the dog door well. He
does not mind being
crated. His personality
shines through more each
day.
Emmett likes to climb up
on a stool and sit at
the counter. You can see
this in his photos!
Notice that he is
watching this year’s
Puppy Bowl.
He came to ESRA with a
severe case of kennel
cough and lay around for
a week. Now he is ready
to go to his new Forever
Home. Since he was so
sick when we got him, we
have not been able to
take him on long walks

He does come when called

DAISY

| Age: |
7 years |
| Gender: |
Female |

Daisy is shy and
reserved. She is very
cautious with new
situations and can be
frightened by changes in
her routine environment.
Daisy responds well to
the examples set by
other dogs in her foster
home and uses them to
gage her level of
involvement with her
foster mom and dad.
Daisy has made great
strides since coming
into foster care. She
loves attention and is a
classic Velcro dog. When
out in the yard or on a
hike she stays close,
always keeping a close
check on her people so
they don’t get lost.
Daisy loves to go
anywhere with her foster
family and rides well in
the car. Daisy is
learning to respond to
positive rewards and a
gentle, loving
environment. It is clear
that this is entirely
new for her. Daisy is
looking for a patient,
understanding family,
possibly one with
another friendly dog
that can help her
interact with her new
family. Daisy’s
confidence is growing
daily and with patience
and lots of positive
reinforcement she will
continue to blossom.
Daisy is housetrained,
walks well on a leash,
comes when called, and
knows the commands Off
and Sit. Daisy uses a
doggie door and sleeps
on a dog bed on the
floor next to her foster
family at night. Daisy
is moderately active and
loves to get out and
smell and explore, but
she is also content to
lay at your feet. Daisy
would do well in a home
that is a bit quieter
and has people around to
do things with and to
love her.

Daisy, please fill out
an adoption application.
She will steal her
heart!

Lucy is a beautiful
little Springer. She is
a timid girl who becomes
easily frightened at the
most every-day, common
things. Since coming
into foster care, Lucy
has really gotten much
braver and her
confidence grows daily.
Lucy is a smart little
girl and has learned
quite a bit since being
in foster care. Because
she is so easily
frightened, learning
commands and new things
can be challenging for
her. Lucy is showing
more and more of her
spirit as she learns to
trust. Lucy is a happy
girl who is really
starting to enjoy life!
Lucy will need a patient
family who is happy to
spend the time Lucy
needs to continue this
new chapter in her life.
She likes a quieter
environment, so a home
without children might
be best for her. Lucy is
a snuggler and a cuddler.
Lucy is a love bug! A
good belly rub and a
cuddle are two of Lucy’s
favorite things.
Patience along with lots
of love and praise help
Lucy to feel secure in
new places and dealing
with new experiences.
Yummy treats help, too!
Lucy gets along with her
foster brothers and
sister. She loves her
crate, rides well in the
car and likes a good
chew toy. Lucy still
gets nervous on walks,
but seems to remember
where we have walked
before and is enjoying
the scents and sights
more. Lucy has some
things to learn and many
more to experience about
life -- but she is
ready!

This is Buster, and Buster is amazing! He is such a sweet dog that he
won his foster mom's
heart the minute she saw
him. Buster was released
by his previous owners
because they could no
longer care for him.
Buster is as charming
and wonderful as a dog
can be.
He is great with
children and loves other
dogs. Buster is not too
dominant, but he will
hold his ground. His
favorite game is fetch,
as he loves to be
outside playing. Buster
pulls on the leash a
little bit, but his
foster mom has been
working with him on
this. He is figuring
this concept out very
quickly.
When Buster first got to
his foster home, he
wasn't housetrained.
After only one week of
lessons along with his
foster mom’s guidance,
he hasn't had one
accident in the house.
He is a very smart dog
and a fast learner.
Buster is also good
with cats, and he rides
well in the car. He has
good house manners.
Buster spends most days
at his foster home with
the back door open, as
he goes in and out from
the house to the back
yard. Buster is quite a
snuggler, as he loves to
spoon in bed at night if
you will let him.
Buster is an independent
dog, but also a very
affectionate dog that
really loves his humans.
Buster is definitely a
ladies' man and does
great meeting women. He
is a little more
hesitant with men at
first. However when men
get down on Buster’s
level for the meeting
process, he responds
very well. After Buster
feels comfortable with
his new friend, then he
wants to go everywhere
with him.
If you would like to

Buster and see if you
would be the right
Forever Home for him,

Age: 14 months
Gender: Female
Color: Black/White
Weight: 25 lbs.
Variety: Field-bred
Here is Trixie! You
couldn't ask for a more
darling and happy little
Springer than Trixie!
She is a very small and
sweet fieldy girl.
Trixie is extremely
playful all the time and
a very happy-go-lucky
little dog. She was
rescued from a shelter,
and she did not like
being there at all. In
fact, the shelter sent
her to a foster home
right away because she
was having such a
difficult time in the
shelter. But her foster
mom couldn't figure out
one thing wrong with
Trixie's behavior. She
thought Trixie was the
sweetest and most loving
dog she could imagine!
Trixie is very smart and
has learned to use the
doggy door quickly. She
is house trained, does
pretty well on a leash,
and also is good off
leash. She gets along
well with the other dogs
at her foster home, even
though they are great
big boys and she is a
tiny little girl! They
have lots of fun
together. She is good
with cats and rides well
in the car. Trixie loves
her people and can never
get enough belly rubs or
ear scratches!
Trixie loves to go for
walks and hikes in the
mountains. She is very
lovable and full of
life, as a young
Springer should be! If
you want to know more
about Trixie or think
she would be the right
dog for your home and
family, please contact
us soon! Trixie will not
be waiting for a home
for long, being as sweet
and adorable as she is!

Hello big world, my name is Annie!! I had a difficult start in life,
but it sure has gotten
better in the past 3
weeks!! I was rescued by
a very loving volunteer
who took me home and
started showing me what
the good life was all
about! I got to walk on
carpet for the first
time, and grass, and I
had to figure out what
stairs were all about
too! I wasn't even used
to hearing human voices
or being around people
very much and I never
had a soft bed to sleep
on before or a person to
cuddle with. Boy this
rescue life is great!
You see I have a small
problem, it is called
epilepsy. I was sold to
a family as a young
puppy, and the day they
took me home I had a
seizure. So they sent me
right back to the family
that sold me, and from
then on I lived in the
backyard with my parents
in a cold and lonely
kennel. I didn't have
any medication to help
with my seizures until
my wonderful foster mom
took me to the vet to
get the help I needed.
Now I have some medicine
to take every day and
some vitamins too, and I
think I am going to be a
happy, playful, regular,
springy Springer in no
time at all!! Things are
getting much better
already. I don't have as
many seizures now and I
am learning all about
the joyful world out
there!
I am very active and
busy. I love to play
with my doggie toys and
I can turn over the box
of toys to make sure
they are ready to play
with me! I like to play
with other dogs, and
with children and I am
good with cats. Although
I am a puppy, and I am
learning to work on my
puppy play bites,
because I really don't
mean to hurt anyone. I
do like to chew on
things, like most
puppies, so I will need
someone to watch me and
train me with that and
help me to be the best
dog possible!
I am learning to walk on
a leash, I had never
done that before either.
But I am catching on
pretty well. I am crate
trained and will sleep
in my crate all night. I
am doing pretty good
with house training, and
I am still working hard
to finish that up! I
love to please my family
and my favorite thing is
to cuddle with my foster
mom and sleep on her lap
while she watches t.v.
I am still young so I
will need a yard to run
and play in. I would
also do best if I had a
stay at home mom or dad,
especially to help me
with all my puppy
training. As you can see
from my pictures I am a
beautiful dog and my
foster mom told me I
have the softest fur she
has ever felt!
Please come to meet me,
I promise to melt your
heart and give you lots
of love and Springer
kisses! Love, Annie
